Terms of Service — Namma Taxi

Effective 8 November 2026.

• What we are. Namma Taxi is a technology platform that connects riders with independent, verified drivers and vehicle owners in and around Karur. Drivers and owners are not our employees; the trip contract is between you and the driver, and we handle booking, fare calculation, support and dispute resolution.
• Accounts. You need a working Indian mobile number and must be 18 or older. Keep your one-time passcodes to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Fares. Every booking shows a confirmed fare before you book. Only waiting time beyond the free allowance and tolls or parking actually paid may be added, and both appear on the receipt. Outstation and hourly packages follow the published tariff. Payment is to the driver in cash or by UPI at the end of the trip.
• Cancellations. Riders may cancel free of charge until a driver accepts. After that, a cancellation fee of up to ₹100 may apply if the driver has already travelled towards you. Drivers may cancel only with a stated reason; repeated misuse leads to review by the office, never to an automatic block.
• Conduct. No harassment, discrimination, intoxication, or damage to vehicles. Smoking in the vehicle is not allowed. Drivers carry out trips to the destination booked, by the agreed route, and may refuse unsafe requests.
• Drivers and owners. You must hold valid licences, permits, insurance and fitness certificates, keep them current in the Partner app, and inform us of any change. Fee plans are shown in the app; changes to your plan take effect after 72 hours' notice. You keep at least 80 percent of every fare.
• Safety and incidents. Use the SOS and help features in the app. We may share trip data with emergency services and the police when there is a risk to safety.
• Liability. We are not liable for loss arising from a driver's or rider's acts beyond what Indian law requires, nor for delays caused by traffic, weather or events outside our control. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
• Changes and termination. We may update these terms with notice in the app. You may close your account at any time from the app. We may suspend an account for breach, always with a written reason you can appeal.
• Law. These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Karur, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.
